FULL CAPACITY

Bizkaia is facing a demographic transformation marked by an ageing population. This change challenges us as a society: creating age-friendly environments is now essential to ensuring quality of life throughout all stages of life, for both older and younger people.

In this context, age-friendliness is becoming a strategic pillar that links international initiatives such as those of the WHO, the Euskadi Lagunkoia programme and Bizkaia and the Bizkaia Territory for All Ages initiative itself: a model that brings people together and progresses from the local level towards a shared vision of an inclusive territory.

After ten years of experience and through its grant programme for municipalities, Bizkaia presents a report on the state of age-friendliness, which outlines progress, lessons learnt and challenges. The event will also provide a space for sharing and, above all, for listening to the key voices driving this process.
