New Year, New Life

We’ve been around for quite a few years now. And over all these years, we’ve had time to do a great many things, to explore countless fronts. But, as with everything in life, it never seems like enough. We want to keep growing, evolving, staying aboard this rocket that’s escaping Earth at 40,000 km/h.
And like all people who fly the flag of nonconformity, the BizkaiaTech Magazine team also wanted to set some new year’s resolutions; resolutions that will give value to what we’ve already done over these years and, at the same time, make us excited about what the future has in store for us. And this is how our list turned out:
- First of all, we wanted to commit to training. The usual thing, right? However, more specifically, this year we want to train our brains. To train our brains with new information, new topics, academic papers, new perspectives, and new inputs and opinions. And while we’re at it, we’ll try to get you, who are reading this, to train your brain a little too. Deal? But no losing weight, okay… magazines are much better when they’re nice and full.
- Exploring new horizons would be the next thing we’d like to do. We’ve already covered many areas and knocked on many doors, but as we always say, this fascinating world of science and technology evolves every single day, and we have an obligation to examine it closely so we can keep up with it and tell you all about it. For example, who would have thought that artificial intelligence would become so important in our lives when we talked about it back in 2021? Where have NFTs and crypto gone? What about the metaverse? Exploring trends, news, and developments in these worlds is essential to understanding the past as part of the future.
- A makeover wouldn’t hurt either, what do you think? We’ve had the same image since we were created, and although we don’t look bad at all, maybe it wouldn’t hurt to go from long hair to a little fringe, right? But don’t worry, be happy: this change will never come hand in hand with generative AI, and we will never stop working with local artists for illustrations and local talent for writing, because that’s what gives this publication so much value. At BizkaiaTech Magazine, we believe that technology will never be able to replace the care and human touch that people bring.
- Hey, and how about meeting more people? That could be nice, right? Even though we already know many talented people who have shared their wisdom on our blank pages, we believe it’s never a bad idea to meet more. Besides, it’s well known that Biscay is a land of highly qualified, intelligent, and wise people, which works incredibly well in our favor. So, if you’re reading this and you’ve felt identified with these words (first of all, maybe we need to tone down our ego a bit), talk to us. We’d be happy to hear what you have to tell us.
- Finally, we want to try to be even more grateful. Even more so, if possible. Because, as you know (sorry, we say it a lot), this publication would not be possible without all the people who have left their mark on it. All those people who say yes to an email and agree to be part of the BizkaiaTech Magazine community. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making yourselves available to help the people of Biscay learn about and understand concepts that are often set aside for being too technical, difficult, or seemingly unreachable. Without you, this magazine would have no value. So, once again, thank you, mila esker, bihotz bihotzez, for your service to the community.
