Services offered

  • INFORMATION AND ADVICE 24 HOURS/365 DAYS: Information and guidance on sexual violence, legislation and resources related to sexual violence.
  • AWARENESS-RAISING IN RELATION TO SITUATIONS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE: Awareness-raising and training activities aimed at professionals from the different agencies that intervene in the system and at the public.
  • SEXUAL VIOLENCE SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM IN BIZKAIA: Collection of data related to the different types of sexual violence, profile of the victims and resources, which provides a more accurate picture of sexual violence in our territory.
  • INTERVENTION IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS 24 HOURS/365 DAYS: Face-to-face, online and telephone support, without the need for a prior appointment in situations of crisis 24 hours a day.
  • ACCOMPANIMENT: Physical accompaniment of the victim to any institutions or services necessary (health resources, police station, court…) and/or any other resource necessary during their process.
  • INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT: Support in the situation of crisis and emotional containment carrying out an initial psychological intervention with the aim of avoiding the generation of subsequent psychological problems.
  • SOCIAL-LEGAL ADVICE: Legal information and advice for the victim, relatives and people closest to them about the legal proceedings, the procedures to file a complaint and other legal matters.
  • SOCIAL SUPPORT: Guidance, advice and referral to the existing social resources.
  • TRANSPORT: Free transport to guarantee access by victims to the resource.
  • TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION SUPPORT IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.

Comprehensive support services

As established in article 36 of Organic Law 10/2022, of 6 September, on the full guarantee of sexual freedom.

  • 24-hour crisis centres: services that provide psychological, legal and social support. Under criteria of permanent support and urgent action, they will provide support and assistance in situations of crisis for victims, relatives and people closest to them. These centres include accompaniment and face-to-face and telephone information 24 hours a day every day of the year.
  • Comprehensive recovery services: interdisciplinary psychological recovery and social, educational, professional and legal support services that work to support the long-term psychological recovery of the victims, as well as covering the aforementioned accompaniment needs.

In all cases, access to these services will be free of charge and the dignity, confidentiality and right to the protection of personal data of the victims and third parties will be respected.

These services will act in coordination and in collaboration with the Law Enforcement Forces and Agencies, the competent legal bodies, the health and community healthcare services, the forensic assessment unit and the institutions in charge of providing legal assistance to the victims of the corresponding geographical area and, when applicable, the Crime Victim Support Offices.
