Two-dimensional line shattering the law of perspective

White line on trunks

Painting a white line, a circle, some curves or a grid on a canvas is quite straightforward. However, when the artist wants to depict a two-dimensional line in a three-dimensional space things become somewhat more complicated. The Renaissance perspective has to be inverted, painting the largest features in the background with the smallest ones at the front, so that they can be seen on the same plane. That’s how art began to flourish in the forest, with an initial painting that was more than just a simple WHITE LINE.
