EUROPEAN PROJECT: EU_SHAFE - Europe Enabling Smart Healthy Age-friendly Enviroments

The Regional Government of Bizkaia is leading, at European level, the project EU_SHAFE: Europe Enabling Smart Healthy Age-friendly Enviroments The project, launched in Aarhus, Denmark on September 23rd, is co-financed by the Interreg Europe programme.

EU_SHAFE aims to improve policy and practice in 7 European regions (Coimbra (Portugal), Campania (Italy), Central Slovenia (Slovenia), Municipality of Aarhus (Denmark), Louth (Ireland), Hamburg (Germany) and Bizkaia) by developing a comprehensive approach to age-friendly, healthy and smart environments (SHAFE) through a "shared learning" methodology.

Coordinated by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the members of the project are the following Cáritas Diocesana de Coimbra, Regione Campania, Razvojni center Srca Slovenije, d.o.o., Center for Frihedsteknologi - Aarhus Kommune, Oilscoil Teicneolaíochta Baile Átha Cliath, ECHAlliance, Universidad de Deusto, Frei und Hansestadt Hamburg, Behorde für Gesundheit und Verbraucherschutz and Louth County Council.
